Biography

Helen is an experienced and qualified business management professional with a strong background in customer service management, business development, event planning, team management and procurement across a range of industries including hospitality and catering, education and training, and small business. Core skills have been built through her current bachelor program at the University of South Australia - a Major in Management and a Minor in Innovation and Entrepreneurship. During her three year tenure at the university she has undertaken many volunteer roles including mentoring for secondary and tertiary students. As well as currently working two casual jobs within the university she has maintained loyalty and commitment to the university. For three years Ms. Ftanos worked at the Adelaide Convention Centre. She developed core competencies such as maintaining the highest levels of work ethics whilst building solid business partnerships with all stakeholders and promoting cross-functional teamwork, proactive process and systems development, productivity improvement, safe workplace, customer responsiveness and individual team member development with a continuous improvement and results driven focus. Helen has been awarded with certificates of appreciation for the UniSA First Generation Program, UniSA Student Mentoring Program and NABEC Business Awards. Her passions include antiquing, fashion and cultural dance.
